What Is The Foundation for Preserving American Culture?


The Foundation For Preserving American Culture, Inc. (“FPAC”) was formed by and is affiliated with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Inc.(the "SCV"). FPAC is a nonprofit social welfare organization created under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The primary purposes of FPAC are:

1) Preserving and protecting the history and heritage of persons who defended the South in the War between the States;

2) Protecting the civil rights of those persons who are engaged in preserving and protecting the history and heritage of Confederate veterans;

3) Promoting truth in education to present a more accurate portrayal of American history, especially of the period from 1840 to 1875;

4) Protecting the environment to preserve the remnants of American history; and

5) Preserving Southern culture.

FPAC has as its sole member the SCV. In addition, the board of directors of FPAC is elected by the General Executive Council of the SCV.
